Poem Of War

I am a soldier who hate war.
You would too if you saw all the gore.
I have to get out of here I have to leave,
Why did I come here? I was so naive.
As gun fire shoots out,
I fear for my life as I run and shout.

I am a soldier who hates life,
The only time I am happy is at home, with my wife.
Liberty means nothing to me,
If you saw your comrades fall around you, you'd agree.
I see my dead friends in my dreams,
and every night I here their screams.

I am a soldier who hates the cold,
However, I keep moving as I'm told.
All of a sudden an attack has come,
But I can't move, and my feet are numb.
I am shot, and I fall to the ground,
The last thing I hear is screaming all around.

I am a soldier who hates death,
As i take my last breath.
I don't want to die, I want to be alive,
However, I know I'm not going to survive.
As my body lays with the other dead corps,
I've come to the conclusion, I'm a soldier who hates war.
